Our work in communities

Our Work

Turning community needs into lasting impact

Working With Communities

AVC Burundi works side by side with communities to design and implement initiatives that respond to real needs and local priorities.

We believe that sustainable change begins by listening, collaborating, and building on the strengths already present within each community.

Our Approach

Our approach is simple and grounded in participation. Communities are involved at every stage — from identifying challenges to shaping solutions and sustaining results.

Our approach is guided by:

  • Community participation and ownership
  • Capacity building and local leadership
  • Inclusion of women, youth, and vulnerable groups
  • Long-term sustainability over short-term aid
